Jose Berrios Expects To Start Friday
5 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Jose Berrios (finger) expects to stay on schedule and make his next start against the White Sox on Friday after leaving his start early last Saturday in the eighth inning with a blister on his right ring finger. "It's not on a location or even a finger that you would associate with a very troubling blister," manager Rocco Baldelli said. "But it is something we'll have to treat and look into." Berrios has been one of the better pitchers in all of baseball this year, so you'll want to keep him in your starting lineups for Friday. He's 8-3 with a tidy 2.84 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 97 strikeouts in 104 2/3 innings (16 starts) for the first-place Twins.
