Jose Bautista Ties MLB Record on Thursday
6 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Jose Bautista helped crush the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday with a record performance at the plate. Bautista went 3-for-4 with a home run, double, three runs scored and seven RBI off the bench, tying an MLB record. Bautista entered the game for Brandon Nimmo after he was hit by a pitch and proceeded to club a grand slam in the fifth inning. The veteran certainly turned back the clock for one day and contributed to the 24-4 thrashing of Philadelphia. It remains to be seen where Bautista will end up in 2019, but he will want to finish strong in New York.
