6 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Jorge Soler is one of the biggest wild cards in the league this season, and Thursday's game showed one of the reasons why. In his first two at-bats, Soler struck out, feeding fuel to the fires of all the naysayers who have called him overrated and unprepared for the big leagues. In his next two at-bats, he ripped a single and double to knock in two runs, helping assuage the anxiety of owners who took a flyer on him in their draft. After one day, owners sit in pretty much the same spot they sat in yesterday.
