2 years agoBaltimore Orioles shortstop Jorge Mateo hit his fifth home run of the season on Saturday. He went 1-for-3 with a walk, three RBI, and a run scored. Mateo hit fifth in the lineup for the first time this season and made it count. He's been batting mostly eighth or ninth, with a few games sprinkled in at the sixth and seventh holes, so fifth was the highest he's been all season. Mateo has really been excelling at the bottom of the lineup, and if he continues to hit; this move, if permanent, should theoretically help out some of his counting stats.--Justin Raffone - RotoBaller
