2 years agoBaltimore Orioles shortstop Jorge Mateo went 1-for-3 with two RBI, a run scored, and two strikeouts in a 7-4 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday. Mateo picked up his RBI via a single and a sacrifice fly in the fourth and sixth innings, respectively. After a scorching hot start to the season, the 27-year-old shortstop has predictably screeched to a halt. He's slashing a meager .137/.167/.216 over the last 15 contests and hasn't gone deep since April 30. Overall, Mateo owns a .261/.307/.470 batting line to go along with six home runs, 22 RBI, and 13 steals across 115 at-bats. The steals give him some value but his profile is tough to roster outside of deeper mixed and AL-only leagues.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
