Jorge Lopez Loses Again
6 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Jorge Lopez is stuck in a bad way after getting shelled by the Astros on Wednesday. Lopez surrendered six earned runs in 2 1/3 innings while allowing three home runs to Houston. It's Lopez's worst outing of the season, and it makes his fifth straight turn where he's allowed four or more earned runs. For the second time in his last four outings, he walked more than he struck out, and his season ERA is now over 6.00. With how bad Kansas City is playing during the rebuild, it wouldn't be surprising if they let Lopez go for quite a while, but fantasy owners should definitely cut bait by now. He'll face the light-hitting Rangers at home next week, but he still shouldn't be used for that outing.
