Jorge Alfaro To Sit For Game 1 Of Doubleheader Monday
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies catcher Jorge Alfaro will sit for the first matchup of Monday’s doubleheader against the New York Mets. Andrew Knapp will start in his place, and it will be worth monitoring who starts the second game. Since Alfaro sat on Sunday as well, the money is on him to start Game 2. Cesar Hernandez (foot) is back in his leadoff spot and will play second base. Zach Eflin will be on the mound for the Phillies and will bat ninth. He has had an impressive season thus far and is a prime daily fantasy option on Monday. Hernandez is also a good option for players looking for a second baseman, as he’s hit well against Zack Wheeler in his career. Third baseman Maikel Franco has been on fire in July (.438 batting average) so players should consider him on the hot corner Monday as well.
