Jorge Alfaro Nursing Injured Knee
6 years agoMiami Marlins catcher Jorge Alfaro injured his knee during an awkward slide into second base on Tuesday, according to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro. It was Alfaro's first appearance since bruising his right knee the week prior. The former Phillie, who was part of the deal that sent J.T. Realmuto to Philadelphia, came back into the game the following inning. The team did not list a designation for Alfaro's injury, but being as thin as they are at catcher, it doesn't make sense for the team to send him back out on Wednesday. In 2018, Alfaro slashed .262/.324/.407 with 10 homers and 37 RBI.
