Jorge Alfaro Being Evaluated For Concussion

Miami Marlins catcher Jorge Alfaro (head) left the game early on Thursday to be evaluated for a concussion and is considered day-to-day. The 26-year-old had a single and two strikeouts in four plate appearances before leaving. He was also thrown out trying to steal. Alfaro has a decent .261/.312/.419 slash line with nine homers, 22 runs and 27 RBI on the year. He's useful in two-catcher leagues but is unlikely to impress with the counting stats on a bad Marlins squad in 2019. If he's forced to the seven-day concussion injured list, Bryan Holaday will do the majority of the catching for the Fish.
