Jorge Alcala Takes Loss Thursday
3 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Jorge Alcala was charged with his second loss of the season in Thursday's defeat to the Cleveland Indians. Alcala entered the game in the top of the eighth inning but quickly got into trouble after two leadoff singles. He was pulled after intentionally walking Jose Ramirez to load the bases, then was charged with three runs when Taylor Rogers allowed a two-RBI single and an RBI groundout. The 25-year-old has been charged with an earned run in three of his last four appearances, raising his ERA to 4.40. With just three holds, no saves, and three blown saves, Alcala is safely off the fantasy radar right now.
