Defenseman Jordie Benn has announced his retirement from hockey at 37 years of age. Despite going undrafted, Benn enjoyed a long career, which included 607 NHL regular-season appearances. He started out with his brother Jamie in Dallas and also had spells with the Montreal Canadiens, Vancouver Canucks, Winnipeg Jets, Minnesota Wild, and Toronto Maple Leafs. Benn's final 12 NHL appearances came with the Maple Leafs in 2022-23. He recorded 26 goals and 137 points in the league.
