Jordan Yamamoto Works Through Two Innings on Saturday
5 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Jordan Yamamoto got the start in the first game of Grapefruit League play for the Fish. He tossed two innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits and striking out two. Yamamoto had some impressive strikeout numbers last season, but he had some issues with his control. If he can throw some more strikes, he could develop into a valuable big league starter. His ceiling seems to be that of a No. 3 or 4 starter, but that could still deliver fantasy relevance in NL-only and deeper mixed leagues.
