Jordan Yamamoto Picks Up Another Win
5 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Jordan Yamamoto picked up the win during the 12-7 rout over San Diego on Tuesday. The Hawaiian struggled early on, allowing two runs before getting nine outs off of the last eight Padres' batters that he faced. Control is still an issue as it took the 23-year-old 99 pitches to make it through five innings, but with a 1.59 ERA on the year to go along with 34 strikeouts, he more than makes up for it. He will look to increase his win total to five when he next takes the bump in Los Angeles against the Dodgers.
