Jordan Wilkins' Role To Be Reduced
6 years agoLast week, Indianapolis Colts rookie Jordan Wilkins was the lead running back, and while he will still get some rushing touches, the expected return of veteran Marlon Mack (hamstring) will limit his overall role within the offense. The Washington Redskins feature a stout front, and with the Colts limited offensive line, they could cause some issue for Wilkins, who does a lot of his work inside. If this game turns into a shootout, which it could, Wilkins should cede touches to both Mack and fellow rookie Nyheim Hines. However, as the most natural running back on the depth chart, this is where his value will come. He shouldn't be relied upon for fantasy value until he carves out a more defined role for himself, which is unlikely to be this week.
