Jordan Westburg Removed From Saturday's Game
1 year agoBaltimore Orioles infielder Jordan Westburg (undisclosed) was removed from Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox with an undisclosed injury. The 24-year-old was pulled during the seventh inning and replaced by Ramon Urias in Saturday's contest. "Everyone has little things," said Orioles manager Brandon Hyde. He went 3-for-4 with a home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 13-12 win over the Red Sox. The Orioles rookie was a triple shy of the cycle. Westburg is considered day-to-day, and his next chance to return to the lineup will be Sunday for the series finale against Boston. Overall, Westburg is slashing .277/.326/.439 with three home runs, 21 RBI, 24 runs, and four stolen bases over 54 games in 2023. Urias would see an uptick in at-bats if Westburg were to miss any games.
