Jordan Romano Still Being Evaluated After Friday's Injury
1 year agoToronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Jordan Romano (back) is still being evaluated after exiting Friday's contest early, per manager John Schneider. Romano was in for the save opportunity on Friday but didn't look sharp against the Angels. He served up a pair of singles and walked a batter while recording a pair of outs before being pulled with the back issue. He's still dealing with back tightness and discomfort, which has plagued him since the All-Star break. Yimi Garcia came in to relieve him and close out the save. It's possible that Romano lands on the injured list to give his back enough time to heal but as of now, he's still being evaluated by the team. Stay tuned for further updates.
