Jordan Romano Records Seventh Save
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Jordan Romano recorded his seventh save of the season on Sunday as his club defeated the Rays 3-1. It wasn't a clean inning for the right-hander as he allowed a solo homer to Brandon Lowe and a single to Yandy Diaz before getting a pop out to end the game. Romano has had a couple small hiccups over his past three outings giving up three runs in that span, but he still holds a shiny 1.93 ERA on the campaign. He's easily been the best arm in the Jays bullpen this season and should hold onto the role all year, although save opportunities have been scarce for the club this season.
