Jordan Romano Records Clutch Save Sunday
1 year agoToronto Blue Jays closer Jordan Romano notched his 26th save of the season on Sunday, shutting down the Detroit Tigers to secure a 4-3 win. He had to earn this one, as he was tasked with holding the ghost runner at second in the tenth inning. He did just that, inducing a comebacker, a strikeout, and a groundout to knock down the heart of the Tiger's order. With this save, the Canadian moved into a three-way tie for the MLB saves lead at the all-star break. He should continue getting his share of saves for a good Toronto team that is fighting tooth and nail for a playoff spot.
