Jordan Reed Not A Strong Starting Option In Week 16
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers tight end Jordan Reed managed to score his fourth touchdown of the year in Week 15. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to do much else, catching just two of his five targets for 18 yards. Reed has been a touchdown-or-bust fantasy option over the past month or so and even when he scores, his yardage is so low that the reward he offers for a good game is minimal. This week, the 49ers could have George Kittle (foot) back for the first time since Week 8. If Kittle suits up, Reed shouldn't be started in any leagues as he'd be the team's clear No. 2 tight end. If Kittle continues to be out, Reed is a potential starter in deep leagues if you're stuck, but just know that he's risky and his upside is minimal.
