Jordan Reed A Risky Low-End TE1 In Week 10
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers tight end Jordan Reed made his return to action in Week 9 after sitting out the previous five games. His usage was extremely low in the game as he played just 13 snaps and caught just one of his two targets for three yards. Ross Dwelley was the team's primary tight end in the game. Dwelley logged 42 snaps and caught all three of his targets for 52 yards. At the start of the year, after George Kittle (foot) suffered his first injury of the season, Reed was featured heavily as the team's primary tight end. He saw a team-high eight targets in Week 2. This week, as the 49ers face the New Orleans Saints, we could see Reed step into that featured role once again. The team has had a long break between games, which should provide Reed some time to get back up to speed. He should be owned in all leagues at the very least and he's a potential TE1 starter in Week 10, but there's some risk involved as Dwelley could still see a chunk of targets.
