Jordan Montgomery Shaky In No-Decision
4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery struggled in Sunday's 10-6 loss to the Orioles. Montgomery lasted just three innings, allowing five runs on six hits while striking out four with two walks. He didn't factor into the decision. It was a frustrating outing for Montgomery, as he was gifted an early four-run lead but ultimately coughed it up due to bad frames in the first and third. The southpaw's recent performances- two straight quality starts leading up to Sunday and a solid expected ERA- suggest that he'll be ok moving forward. Montgomery is slated to take the mound on May 21 against the White Sox, who have posted the fifth-best team OPS in the majors.
