Jordan Montgomery Has Been Throwing
New York Yankees starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery (elbow) said he is making 50 throws at 90 feet and has been doing that for around three weeks. He'll throw off a mound next month and is aiming to return to big league action after the All-Star break after he had Tommy John surgery last June. The left-hander went 2-0 with a 3.62 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 7.6 K/9 in just six starts before his arm injury last year. It's unknown if he'll have a rotation spot to return to in the second half this year, so he can be avoided in most fantasy drafts this spring.
