Jordan Mason Rushes For Career-High 64 Yards
2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Jordan Mason gained 64 yards on four carries in the Niners' 21-13 division title-clinching victory over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15. The 23-year-old, a rookie out of Georgia Tech, was looking like a possible stash or even a flex option in deep leagues. He has continuously hit new career highs in rushing yardage since becoming a part of the 49ers' backfield rotation in Week 11. It was looking like he was in danger of breaking that streak, as he had no carries in the first half. But on the final drive, he had three carries, including a 55-yard rush to the Seattle two-yard-line to seal the San Fran victory. He has now had over 50 yards in each of the past three games. His lack of volume should be a warning sign for those who might consider starting him, but he remains a high-upside stash, and he is someone to keep an eye on for next year.
