Jordan Lyles To Throw Bullpen Wednesday
6 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Jordan Lyles (elbow) will throw a bullpen session on Wednesday and could move to live batting practice as early as Saturday. Lyles could return shortly after the All-Star break if he avoids any setbacks. The right-hander has had his moments with the Friars this year, but he's been more effective as a reliever (3.66 ERA, 1.07 WHIP) than as a starter (4.79 ERA, 1.36 WHIP), but a lot of it can be contributed to an eight-run outing against the Braves on June 5. Lyles can be a decent streamer in the right matchups in deeper leagues when he's healthy.
