Jordan Lyles To Make Rehab Start Sunday
5 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Jordan Lyles (hamstring) will make a minor league rehab start on Sunday and go six innings or 85 pitches. Steven Brault will make the start on Sunday against the Padres at home. Lyles should be able to rejoin the rotation after his start on Sunday, barring any setbacks. The right-hander has been adequate with a 5-3 record, 3.64 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 66 strikeouts in 64 1/3 innings over 12 starts this year and should continue being an acceptable rotation piece in deep mixed leagues when he returns. Brault, a left-hander, hasn't allowed more than two earned runs in an outing since May 12 and has lowered his ERA to 4.40 since then. However, he's still a low-upside streaming candidate in deeper leagues.
