Jordan Lyles Knocked Around In Rehab Start
6 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Jordan Lyles (elbow) allowed three home runs in 2 2/3 innings for Triple-A El Paso on Thursday. Overall, he allowed four runs on six hits with no walks in his first outing since he felt a "strange" sensation in his elbow last month. He could make at least one more rehab start before rejoining the rotation. Lyles was solid at first for San Diego but came back down to earth a bit before his injury. He's sporting a 4.46 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 7.6 K/9 in 21 outings (eight starts) for the Friars this year. Lyles is more of a deep league streamer in the right matchups.
