Jordan Hicks Posts Another Save
1 year agoSt. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Jordan Hicks picked up his fourth save of the season on Sunday, shutting down the Chicago Cubs to earn a 7-5 victory in the London Series. Hicks allowed one run to score but held on from there, striking out a pair in the process. The flamethrower has now registered the Cardinals' last four saves with usual closer Ryan Helsley (forearm) out. Hicks has pitched much better in the closer role than he was previously, and has given manager Oliver Marmol something to consider when Helsley returns. He should be owned in any leagues where saves matter as a solid short-term play with some potential to be of long-term value.
