Jordan Hicks Fires Scoreless Inning
1 year agoSt. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Jordan Hicks was called upon to hold a three-run lead versus the Chicago White Sox on Saturday. The right-hander allowed two one-out singles, but settled down after that. He struck out Jake Burger before getting Gavin Sheets to line out to end the contest. The hard-throwing righty earned his seventh save of the season. He's looking like a viable closing open while Ryan Helsley (forearm) remains sidelined.
