Jordan Hicks Diagnosed With Triceps Tendinitis
5 years agoUpdating a previous post, St. Louis Cardinals closer Jordan Hicks was diagnosed with triceps tendinitis after Saturday's game. Hicks was forced to leave the game after pitching 1 1/3 innings. Manager Mike Schildt said he hoped the closer would be fine after a few days of rest. Hicks is likely to undergo an MRI and further testing to determine the extent of the injury, but for now he can be considered day-to-day. Carlos Martinez and John Gant will likely pick up save opportunities until Hicks returns.
