Joonas Korpisalo Records 21-Save Shutout Versus Utah
1 month agoBoston Bruins goaltender Joonas Korpisalo skated away with his second shutout of the season as interim head coach Joe Sacco started his reign with a 1-0 win over Utah Thursday night. Giving Korpisalo the nod instead of Jeremy Swayman was a big call from Sacco, but he didn't have to regret it. Korpisalo stopped 21 shots en route to victory. The Finnish netminder is now sporting a 4-2-1 record for the season, having allowed 2.38 goals with a .911 save percentage. Swayman's numbers pale in comparison, so we might start seeing Korpisalo more often under the new regime.
