Jonathan Villar Not In Saturday’s Lineup
3 years agoNew York Mets third baseman Jonathan Villar isn't in the team's lineup on Saturday as they take on the Pittsburgh Pirates. Villar is batting .231 with a .313 on-base percentage in 234 plate appearances this season. He's also contributed nine home runs and eight stolen bases. J.D. Davis is getting the start at third base in Villar's place on Saturday and batting cleanup against Pittsburgh right-hander Wil Crowe. If you need a streaming option at third in either daily fantasy or season-long formats, Davis should be a quality option. In the 15 games that he's played this season, the infielder has hit .381 with a .469 on-base percentage and a pair of home runs in 49 plate appearances. Villar will likely continue to lose playing time to Davis, limiting his appeal in mixed leagues.
