Jonathan Villar Drives In Two With Three Hits Wednesday
5 years agoBaltimore Orioles second baseman/shortstop Jonathan Villar had a nice day at the plate in Wednesday's 10-5 loss to the Padres. Villar went 3-for-4 with two singles, a two-run home run (his 10th of the season), and a strikeout. Unfortunately, the 28-year-old has had a very poor June, posting a .213 batting average with three HR, 12 RBI, and four stolen bases. This kind of production is hard to justify holding onto, even in roto leagues with his speed. Fantasy players can find better options from the waiver wire at this time and Villar should only be held onto in deeper roto leagues.
