Jonathan Loaisiga Struggles In Second Start
6 years agoComing off his encouraging debut against the Tampa Bay Rays which resulted in a victory, New York Yankees rookie Jonathan Loaisiga’s encore came against the Seattle Mariners. The 23-year-old, who kept the strikeouts, ground outs and fly outs at a consistent pace, once again did the same on Wednesday, although those numbers were lower. That's because Loaisiga struggled, getting pulled with two outs in the fourth inning. He allowed three runs on six hits during the outing, walking two. He was in line for the defeat as the New York deficit ballooned to five runs, but the offense stormed back en route to victory. For Loaisiga meanwhile, his tenure in the Yankees rotation remains a day-to-day situation, as the club could strike via trade at any moment.
