Jonathan Loaisiga Allows One Run In Season Debut
6 years agoMaking his first start of the 2019 season, young New York Yankees pitcher Jonathan Loaisiga lasted just four innings, but managed to keep the runs allowed low. The 24-year-old surrendered just one run on one hit, dealing with walks instead of hits as he handed out three of them. He would also strike out four batters, exiting after just 70 pitches. While he was given an early lead and eventually left with a no-decision, the Yankees would go on to lose by the final score of 2-1. Considering the club is still down two starters due to injury, Loaisiga should see more starting situations in the near future.
