Jonathan Loaisiga Allows Four Runs In Return
5 years agoAfter missing three months with a right shoulder strain, New York Yankees pitcher Jonathan Loaisiga made his return Thursday night. Alongside his other pitchers on the night, the 24-year-old received a 19-5 drubbing at the hands of the Cleveland Indians. Loaisiga entered the game in the first inning after Chad Green allowed five runs. He wasn't much better, surrendering four runs on four hits in 2 2/3 innings of work. While he also struck out four, a pair of home runs hurt him during his 56-pitch performance. Ultimately, Loaisiga could serve as a spot starter in his return, as the Yankees have gone with an opener multiple times this season.
