2 years agoThe New York Yankees activated relief pitcher Jonathan Loaisiga (shoulder) from the injured list on Thursday. He is taking the roster spot of left-hander JP Sears, who was optioned on Wednesday. Loaisiga landed on the injured list in late May due to right shoulder inflammation. The 27-year-old was one of the team's top relievers in 2021, racking up 18 holds while pitching to a 2.17 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP. He had a few rough outings this year before landing on the injured list, which led to his ugly 7.02 ERA and 1.56 WHIP on the year.
