Jonathan Kuminga Nearing On-Court Work
3 years agoGolden State Warriors rookie forward Jonathan Kuminga (knee) is in the midst of recovering from a patellar tendon strain in his right knee. He suffered the injury during a preseason game against the Denver Nuggets and has been sidelined ever since. This past weekend, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr stated that the rookie was "getting closer to being able to start doing some stuff on the floor." It's good to hear that Kuminga is nearing a return to the court, but Kerr's update suggests that the 6'7" forward is still at least probably two or three weeks away from making his NBA debut. When he's able to return, he'll be battling with Otto Porter Jr., Juan Toscano-Anderson and fellow rookie Moses Moody for playing time.
