Jonathan India Leaves Saturday's Game Early With Knee Contusion
5 months agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India left Saturday's game against the Miami Marlins early with what the team announced as a left knee contusion. India was replaced by Santiago Espinal in the top of the fourth after being involved in a collision during a slide earlier in the game. The 27-year-old was also scratched from Tuesday's game against the Colorado Rockies with the same injury, placing further concern on India re-aggravating the injury. With the All-Star break right around the corner, fantasy managers should expect India to get some rest tomorrow to prepare for their first game of the second half next Friday against the Washington Nationals. Expect Espinal to start at second base on Sunday while Noelvi Marte should slide into the DH role against Marlins starter Trevor Rogers.
