Jonathan India A Late Scratch On Sunday
2 years agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India was a late scratch from the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Braves. Max Schrock will now be covering the keystone and leading off in the game. After India was scratched, the Reds announced that he was getting a rest day. This update from the team is a bit suspicious given the fact that he was initially in the lineup and that he's been plagued by injuries this season. Hopefully it's indeed a rest day and he'll be back on the field for Monday's series opener against the New York Mets. Injuries have held the 25-year-old to just 26 games so far this year. He owns a .217/.265/.302 slash line to go along with two home runs, nine RBI and eight runs.
