Detroit Red Wings winger Jonatan Berggren was signed to a one-year, $825,000 extension by the team on Monday. The 24-year-old was a point-per-game player in the AHL last season and registered six points (two goals, four assists) across 12 NHL appearances. He played a much larger role for the team in 2022-23 and boasts 34 points (17 goals, 17 assists) in 79 career games. Berggren has proven that he can be productive on the offensive end, but he will be limited to a bottom-six role in 2024-25, which will make it hard for him to produce scoring consistently.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerRead More News
