Jon Lester Picks Up 10th Win Against Dodgers
7 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Jon Lester threw five innings of two-run ball Tuesday against the Dodgers and improved his record to 10-2 on the season. Lester had gone four straight starts over 100 pitches, so it is not surprising to see him go just 82 pitches in five innings. Lester struck out four, walked just one and allowed four hits on the night. Lester has enjoyed a great bounce-back season, as his ERA sits at 2.18 to go with a 1.08 WHIP and a K:BB of 74:32. Lester has allowed more than two runs just once since April and will look to pick up his seventh straight win Sunday against the Twins.
