John Wall Officially Waived By Rockets
2 years agoThe Houston Rockets completed their buyout of point guard John Wall on Tuesday. He is no longer a member of the team and he is expected to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers at some point after free agency begins on Thursday. Wall wound up giving up $6.5 million in his buyout with the Rockets. The 31-year-old had a forgettable few seasons in Houston. He averaged 20.6 points per game in 2020-21 while shooting just 40.4% from the field, then he wound up sitting out the entirety of the 2021-22 season. He'll be looking to rejuvenate his career with a veteran Clippers squad in 2022-23, though he'll be competing with Reggie Jackson for point guard duties.
