John Schreiber Records Two-Inning Save On Tuesday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox relief pitcher John Schreiber closed out the team's 9-4 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday to earn his first save of the year. Schreiber entered the game in the eighth inning while the team was up 6-4. He wound up pitching two straight perfect innings, striking out three batters along the way. The 28-year-old has yet to allow a run over five appearances and 6.1 innings this year. The Red Sox bullpen is a mess right now and Schreiber may have as good a chance as anyone of earning the team's next save opportunity. He's far from a must-add in any fantasy format, but if you're feeling lucky and want to take a chance on a potential saves source, you could do worse.
