Jon Rahm Misses Second Chance at World No. 1
7 years agoWhile it was a bit of a long shot, Jon Rahm had a chance to take over the No. 1 spot in the Official World Golf rankings with a win at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. After opening with back-to-back 67s, he sputtered over the weekend, shooting rounds of 70 and 76 to finish in a tie for 26th. Even with a win, Rahm would have needed current world No. 1 Dustin Johnson to finish outside the top 45 to secure the top spot. Rahm will now take three weeks off before returning at the World Golf Championships in March.
