John Means' Stellar Tuesday Start Squandered By Bullpen
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher John Means turned in another fabulous start in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Mets. Means pitched six scoreless innings, allowing six hits and no walks with three strikeouts. However, the bullpen could not hold onto the O's lead in the ninth inning, leaving Means with a no-decision. The 28-year-old has been a fantasy ace this season, going 4-0 with a 1.21 ERA, 0.71 WHIP, and 28% strikeout rate. He is looking like a matchup-proof option and should be in fantasy managers' lineups at all times. His next start should come against the Rays at home.
