Johan Oviedo Works A Quality Start On Friday
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Johan Oviedo worked around seven hits to put up a quality start in Friday's 9-3 win over the Colorado Rockies. Oviedo threw six innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out just two. The Cardinals scored most of their runs later in the game, so Oviedo ended up not getting a decision, but he did lower his ERA to 5.14. He's had a few flashes of solid pitching but for the most part hasn't missed bats and may not stick in the rotation long if the Cardinals decide to trade for rotation help before the deadline.
