Johan Camargo Drives In First Run In Nearly A Week
Johan Camargo to drive in five runs a game like he did on June 19, but it's not unfair to be disappointed that his RBI in Wednesday's game was the first since June 22. Camargo is still battling inconsistency - he's young at 24, but he's practically a gray beard next to Ronald Acuna and Ozzie Albies. Only start him if you desperately need a third baseman in deeper leagues.

Johan Camargo Still A Free Agent
Johan Camargo, who is currently playing in the Dominican Republic for Las Aguilas. Camargo was believed to have signed a minor-league deal with the Minnesota Twins last week, but that didn't end up happening and he's still available. The 28-year-old is looking for a roster spot on a major-league roster or will take an opportunity in Asia. The switch-hitting utility man played in 52 games for the Philadelphia Phillies in 2022, hitting .237/.297/.316 with three home runs, 15 RBI and eight runs scored in 166 plate appearances. If he returns to the MLB next year, he'll most likely serve as a bench bat with limited offensive upside in fantasy. Camargo has a career .255/.313/.410 slash line with a .723 OPS in 416 games over six seasons.

Johan Camargo To Begin Rehab Assignment On Friday
Johan Camargo (knee) is set to begin a rehab assignment on Friday. He was diagnosed with a right knee strain around a week and a half ago. There's a chance that Camargo is ready to roster to the Phillies roster in a few days. He hasn't done a ton at the plate this season, but is a solid option off the bench. He'll likely take away playing time from Alec Bohm when he returns.

The 27-year-old switch-hitter will be a solid bench option for the Phillies after he hit .326/.401/.557 in 104 games at Triple-A in 2021. In just 15 games for Atlanta last season, Camargo didn't have a single hit while walking twice and striking out six times in 18 plate appearances.
