6 years agoIt has been a rough start to the 2019 campaign for Tampa Bay Rays infielder Joey Wendle, who just can't seem to get healthy. Starting on Wednesday against the Kansas City Royals, the 28-year-old was struck in the right wrist by Jakob Junis and has been diagnosed with a wrist fracture. Wendle had just returned from a hamstring strain and now he will be out for another extended period of time with the fracture. This is a frustrating result and despite his multi-position eligibility, this injury should result in him being dropped from any leagues he was featured in. His production early on has simply been quite abysmal to warrant a roster spot.--RDelgado
