Joey Wendle Expects To Return This Season
2 years agoMiami Marlins infielder Joey Wendle (hamstring) will resume running on Friday and said he expects to return this season despite going on the injured list for a hamstring injury. Wendle was put on the injured list on Monday with left hamstring tendonitis, and he'll be eligible to return on Sept. 29. But with so little time left in the regular season, fantasy managers in single-year leagues can likely toss him aside to the waiver wire the rest of the way. The 32-year-old left-handed hitter had trouble staying healthy in his first year in Miami, and he currently has a slash line of .258/.297/.366 with only three home runs, 31 RBI, 26 runs scored and 12 stolen bases in his 325 at-bats.
