Joey Logano An Enticing DFS Option, But You Should Probably Stay Away
3 months agoDraftKings players have a decision to make on Saturday night revolving around one of the strongest superspeedway racers in the field: Joey Logano. The Team Penske driver is always one of the best at both Daytona and Talladega, but his third-place qualifying effort this weekend makes him a very risky pick in DFS contests due to the high potential for negative place differential points. However, Logano certainly has some dominator upside, as no driver has led more laps at Daytona and Talladega since the start of 2023 than Logano has. However, leading laps in a race like Saturday's Coke Zero Sugar 400 doesn't guarantee a good DFS score, as those FPTS can easily be wiped out if Logano wrecks and finishes in the back of the field. Although enticing due to his dominator and race-winning potential, DraftKings players will likely be better off going underweight on the Team Penske driver this weekend. Over the last 20 races at Daytona and Talladega, Logano has notched just three top-five finishes while finishing 17th or worse in 14 of those races (70%).
